About Shane
I offer affordable tutoring and very flexible hours for anyone seeking assistance with AP biology. It is my goal to help students understand and become engaged with the material presented in this course. I am available for online visits and housecalls, whichever is more convenient for you.
I have always been fascinated with biology, and it is my goal to instill the same sense of curiosity and wonder into everyone I teach. I believe that when a student is interested in the material being taught they will have an easier time absorbing it.
I am currently a freshman at the University of Rochester majoring in molecular biology. In high school, I was the recipient of the Bausch and Lomb science award as well as the salutatorian of my class. I graduated with advanced designation and honors in science, math, and English. I also achieved outstanding marks in AP biology and I frequently helped my classmates understand the material. I hope to one day teach and perform research at a university.
