About Damian
I've been playing high school chess for 3 years, have participated in many tournaments and have been to state championship twice in a row. I love helping my fellow teammates learn things, and I'm willing to put the time and effort into making sure my students understand the material.
My coaches needed help running through things with the new kids, and I stepped up to help. I have the resources to teach, and have been mentored in a few teaching methods.
I'm currently a junior in high school, and I've been on my school's chess team for 3 years.

I like to get a general sense of where my students are at, and run through the very basics.
I work with brand new chess players and novice players with limited knowledge and experience.
Make sure they can understand the material enough to teach it.
The last IHSA tournament I went to, our school placed 3rd of 15 schools. It was very exciting, and we all played our best that day.
