About
Hello! My name is Aaradhya, and I am a competitive chess player with years of tournament experience. I have competed at Nationals multiple times, achieved 20th place at Nationals, placed second in my state twice, and won several regional championships. I also hold a chess rating above 1700 in both USCF and FIDE.
I am a strong math student with extensive experience in pre-algebra and foundational mathematics. Throughout my math classes, I have consistently earned A’s and high marks on AP-level coursework, and I have also received honors and awards for my performance in mathematics. Working with me means clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and lessons that focus on building real understanding rather than just memorizing formulas. I help students break down challenging problems, develop strong logical thinking skills, and gain confidence in math. My goal is to make math easier to understand while helping students improve their grades and problem-solving abilities.
Working with me means having structured, engaging lessons that focus on helping you truly understand the game. I aim to make lessons both challenging and enjoyable, while building the skills needed to think critically during a game. Rather than just showing moves, I teach students how to analyze positions, find strong plans, and avoid common mistakes.
I take tutoring seriously and tailor each lesson to the student’s level and goals. Whether you are a beginner learning the fundamentals or an intermediate player looking to improve your tournament results, I work to create lessons that help you grow steadily and gain confidence at the board.
My goal as a tutor is to help students become stronger, more independent chess thinkers while enjoying the learning process.
