About Virginia
Hello!
My name is Virginia and I am 16 years old. I am currently in high school (homeschooled), but I take most of my classes at the local community college. I have tutored in many subjects before, and what really helps is that I am also a youth, so I connect to students better than most adults would. I am also in the Phi Thetta Kappa National Honor Society for college students.
I love to help students learn!

My process for working with a new student is to figure out the area that is causing the most problems. I either do this by asking to see if they know exactly what is causing their learning problems, or I will administer a test that goes over what they have learned so far and see what they are falling behind in. I then create a plan that will strengthen their skills in the subject itself and in specific areas that needed more help than other areas.
I have worked with students how were falling behind due to lack of motivation and I have worked with students who have learning disabilities.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Math: Have you tried every possible way you can think of to solve the problem? Have you looked up instructional videos online for the type of problem?
English: Have you confided in your school teacher/college professor for help?
History: Have you created flash cards to aid in your learning? Have you watched educational videos on the subject?
