About Ron
Ron Russell is co-owner/chef of the famous SunCafe Organic raw & cooked plant-food restaurant in Studio City-Hollywood. Suncafe has received 18 culinary awards including being named 1 of the Top 10 Restaurants in Los Angeles County twice by OpenTable as well as 1 of the Top Vegan Restaurants in the nation with many celebrity clients. Ron works with famous cardiologist Dr. Dean Ornish at UCLA Medical Center--Suncafe is the restaurant in Los Angeles Dr. Ornish sends his patients to.
Suncafe was honored as the Most Sustainable Restaurant in Los Angeles by the Sustainable Business Council of L.A.
Ron has taught more than 250 weekly plant-based and raw food cooking classes featuring his own unique world fusion cuisine, in a 15-minute gourmet recipe format. Thousands have taken his classes and he has been featured on a dozen TV shows including ABC News, KTLA, Fox, in addition to the NY Times. For more than 40 years, Ron has lived and advocated a healthy, whole foods, unprocessed, vegan lifestyle for optimum health. Ron earned a Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from Dr. T. Colin Campbell Center from Cornell University.
Ron has followed a vegan diet for 42 years and mostly eats a raw food, unprocessed diet.
