About Michaella
My name is Chef Hawa also known as Michaella. I am a self taught culinary professional. I have been cooking since I was a teenager. That was when my passion for cooking grew. My cultural background as a Sierra Leonean has heavily influenced my interest in food and cooking. Growing up I was always in the kitchen watching my aunties cook and helping if they allowed lol. I am the owner of Manifest Kitchen, a food business based out of Raleigh North Carolina specializing in Sierra Leonean cuisine/ West African cuisineand serving non-African foods.
I am Serv Safe certified and provide fun and engaging cooking classes. In addition to cooking you will learn more about Sierra Leone/West African culture, information about the dish, and childhood memories while Afro-beats is playing in the background!
