About Regine
I started teaching in the NY Public School system in 2015. I started off with High School students during the day time, Middle School during afterschool and then elementary school during after school as well. I begin to independently host my classes at Ripley Grier Studios, Spaceworks, Online and also visiting peoples houses. In Brazil is when my private clases really kicked off. I was teaching private classes multple times a week and holding weekly group classes.
I am a Queens College (CUNY) alumni. I hold a Bachelors degree in Africana Studies and a Minor in Dance/Theater. I have been a judge for competition dancers and have lead and organized Dance Teams in the NY/NJ Tri-state area. I have lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for three years (part-time) to train with legendary schools of samba such as: G.R.E.S Academicos do Salgueiro and Unidos de Padre Miguel. I have paraded with these two schools twice and I am a member of these organizations for life.

My typical process is simply assessing them thrugh warmsup and drills. The assessment of various dance routines will show whether the student is beginners, intermediate or advanced.
I have worked with Adults and Children (3-18). Ranging from super beginners to Advanced.
Make sure that you list your goals. Always have a goal in mind when learning, whether it be to becme more flexible, more creative, etc. Express that goal and make sure that the teacher is able to help you meet those goals. Also keep in mind that a lot of work also comes from you as a student. For example: if you have a goal to become a Samba Dancer in a Brazilian Samba School, you'd obviously need to learn portuguese, understand and do diligent research on the culture and nation.
My most recent event that I am fond of is when I performed at the SONY Head Quarters in NYC.
