About Gracie
My studio has been in business 29 years in southern MD. We offer recreational classes as well as show troupe competitive dancing. Our instructors are top notch, many have graduated college with dance. The show troupe has won awards on a national level of competition. We also do wedding choreography! The studio has a nice picnic area, and a playground, with a basketball hoop for things to do while waiting for the kids dance class. The inside studio is over 3,000 square feet and was recently expanded! My work is my passion. I absolutely love my job!
I started teaching by assisting other Directors at various students, and started my own studio, 29 years ago. I have taught at several other studios in the past.
The studio is celebrating its 29th year serving southern MD. Many of the instructors have a college degree, in dance plus have performed professional. The Director attended the University of MD, for dance as well as elementary education. Her son, Justin, tours the United States as a master teacher, and has performed in shows with Disney, Busch Gardens, the off-Braodway show STOMP, and most recently Tap Dogs.

The new student is invited to 'try' the class, or many classes, to find out which class, or classes, she/he may want to take. We offer, tap, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, gymnastics, and have combo classes for ages 5-7, and Preschool dance classes as well.
Several of my students have gone on to be professional dancers. Many of the students take dance as a recreation for enjoymenet and socialization. We offer dancing for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels, plus professional training.
I would say, when looking at the studio, or school of dance, observe not only the youngest student, but also the oldest student, and make sure that your child can grow at that studio. Sometimes studios are very limited in what they can provide, so check out all ages, to be sure you choose a studio that is capable to servicing your child in all levels of instruction and disciplines of dance.
My show troupe recently attended TAPS ALIVE in Frederick, and brought the house down with our production routine, "MOTOWN".
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should be ready to learn and follow instruction and realize that dance, like sports, is very disciplined and structured. Most of the 'fun' should be in the learning. Practicing is important as well, so make sure you have time to commit to dance. The more you give to dance, the more you will get out of it.

Details
Tuition is $60 a month for one discipline of dance, which is once a week. There are multiple discounts for sibblings and/or one student taking several classes.
