About Lauren
I succeed when my student succeeds! My passion is helping others achieve their goals. Teaching private lessons through zoom allows the student to practice, make mistakes and grow in the comfort of their own space.
My love for helping others understand and succeed in dance really started when fellow classmates would come to me on the side and ask for clarifcation or help with a step. That grew to occaisonally subbing dance classes at my university and running my own classes at local studios.
I have a BFA in Musical Theatre from Abilene Christian University. I have studied dance at a variety of different studios such as The Met in Houston, Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center in NYC. I have a 12 year back ground in competetive dance and drill team

I like to access where the student is currently at in their skills and in what areas they would like to grow. I think getting to know the students strengths and weaknesses is important as well. I always lead with an explanation of my teaching style and discussion on expectations for lessons for both myself and the student. I teach through encouragment and constructive criticism.
I have worked with a wide range of students! From 4-6 year olds just starting out to advanced competetive dancers.
