A few years ago, my wife and I were looking for a dance studio to help us prepare for our daughter’s wedding. We began taking weekly ballroom dancing group lessons from a two instructor team, one of whom was Heather. (She became the sole instructor after about a year.) From the beginning, the atmosphere of the class was very supportive and welcoming to new class members. Heather has an easy, engaging style to her instruction, teaching not only the steps (and so much more), but also how to just have fun on the dance floor! Occasional private lessons helped me, especially, and the high point was when my daughter and I took a lesson to practice “our” dance. Thanks to Heather, everything went perfectly at the wedding! My wife and I enjoyed the experience so much that we continued taking group lessons with her long after the wedding. We were sorry when she left the area.

Heather is absolutely the best teacher. She is not only patient but is able to breakdown the steps so they are easier to learn. She is always prepared for class with her lesson but easily adapts if she finds that her students need some remedial review. Heather has a very warm personality and makes dancing fun and not intimidating for a beginning dancer. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their dancing instructor.

Heather is a wonderful and patient dance instructor and we have been taking private lessons with her for at least a year (not sure when we started but she was our dance instructor for about 18 months until November, 2017. It all started when my husband, Steve wanted to build up more confidence with his ballroom dancing and needed to fine tune some of his technique and steps. We decided that Heather would be the right fit for my husband and I because she is very patient and makes sure you understand the steps.

I must say that when we started taking private dance lessons with Heather once weekly, my husband gained more confidence in his leading and I feltl more at ease, knowing that we were working with such a positive role model who gave us confidence in our dancing. We have only had two other ballroom dance instructors and she is by far the most thorough and patient instructor that we have had.
