Hello!
I'm Darryl Sellers, a Zumba Fitness enthusiast who started taking Zumba classes in 2008 and teaching classes in 2011.
Our Zumba class is in FUN motion, Thursday nights at 6:30, at Center for Performing Arts, 3754 Pleasant Avenue South! Your first class is FREE! Then, it’s only $5 per class! 😊
I love to bring in Zumba instructors from around the Twin Cities to team up with me, adding a great and festive variety to our classes! 😊
Zumba is a combination of fitness and fun! Our classes are lively, fun and in a social atmosphere where you will get a GREAT workout! You can burn 500-1,000 calories in an hour of movin’ and groovin’! 😊
ALL ages and fitness levels are welcome and represented in our Zumba classes! I encourage you, whether you’re 11 or 71, to join us for classes! You will have a BLAST dancing to rhythms from ALL over the world! The key is to keep moving and you’ll get in a GREAT workout! The moves will become very familiar in a short amount of time. 😊

I LOVE the fact that Zumba is “Fitness in Disguise!” Sometimes you don’t even realize that you’re working out! The hour FLIES by! And, I also LOVE ❤️ the social atmosphere, along with members offering support and encouragement to new members and others in class! 😊
I attended my first Zumba Fitness class at the Midland Community Center in Midland, Michigan. I was hooked from day one! I helped to lead routines in class on a regular basis! I was asked to become a Zumba Fitness Instructor, but I wasn’t ready to make the commitment.
I moved back to my hometown of Minneapolis at the end of 2010. One of my goals was to become a Zumba Fitness Instructor! I took the leap in April, 2011...and I’m SO glad that I did! 😊
I am a Licensed Zumba Instructor. I went through the Zumba Fitness Instructor training in April, 2011.

I welcome my new members to class and give she or he an overview of class. This includes me telling members about routines and how I use verbal and non-verbal cues to lead the way.
I hand out information forms to my students form them to fill out. I use their email addresses to thank my new members, ask for suggestions/feedback and find out if they have any questions.
Our classes have members of ALL ages and fitness levels! Pre-teens to women in their 60s attend class! Classes are designed to provide an environment of fitness and FUN for ALL! 😊
The advice that I give people who are new to Zumba...everyone moves differently. Move the way that feels good to you! Please don’t be discouraged if you’re not able to follow all of the moves. The key to Zumba is to keep moving! The moves will get easier in a short time with more familiarity. 😊
I also co-teach for Zumba Fitness fundraisers all over the Twin Cities! In September, I was a co-teacher for an event to support the Spring Lake Park Panther Pantry!
More than 50 people danced and got in a great workout! We raised more than $3000 and dozens of bags of food donations were collected! 😊

New members should consider their fitness goals, which they may want to discuss.
Do you have any physical limitations? I mention and show modifications for moves, like squats for example of marching instead of jumping. 😊
