About Katie
Katie teaches dance lessons in multiple styles and specializes in Ballet, Modern and Jazz. She teaches all ages and does both private lessons and group classes.
Katie has a BFA in Dance (The University of the Arts) and as a dancer has competed and performed internationally. She has taught in three different countries and is now based in Philadelphia.
I absolutely love dance and my passion is to see you love it too! My aim is to help you reach your goal, whether that involves dance as a career or hobby, for fitness or leisure, for young, old and everyone in between. Each lesson is tailored to your individual requirements and aspirations.
Katie has a BFA in Dance (The University of the Arts), has completed her Cechetti Advanced Ballet qualification and her AIDT Advanced Modern exams.
She has danced internationally (both through competitions and workshops) as has trained with renowned South African dancers, choreographers, and company members from Karen Beukes of SAMBT to David Matemela of African Footprints.
She has recently worked with Garry Jeter, Nora Gibson, Kim Bears-Bailey, Wayne St Davids, and other Philadelphia-based dancers, choreographers, and teachers.

Katie teaches all ages and has the most experience working with children ages 4-18. She has worked at dance studios from North East Philly to South Africa, teaching beginners through pre-professionals. She has also taught workshops at a childrens' homes in Madagascar.
