About Savannah
We are a full service studio for the serious student. No trophies here-your performance is your trophy. SBSD is a performance based studio. Our studio is the home of the world renonwned Savannah Ballet Theatre (the only professional dance company in southeast Georgia). Students of our school are invited to perform with the company in two productions a year.
Our teachers are professionally trained. Many of our teachers have dance degrees from accredited colleges! We are a Vaganova (Russian) Method certified school. Vaganova is an advanced method of study that takes many years to master, but it is worth it! The Vaganova Method is beautiful to watch! You will see a difference in your dancer after just ONE season at SBSD.
Every May the studio offers an entertaining recital with lighting, costumes, and fun choreography at a real theatre! Dancers will perform tap, ballet, and jazz dances for parents, friends and family.
