Mrs. Luevano was my marching band teacher for my 7th and 8th grade years. During that course of time, I not only grew as musician, but also as a person. Having her as a teacher taught me things like how to always be positive, how to implement a servant leadership style. Her teaching through example has stuck with me to this day, and I would list her as one of the top most positive influences on me in my middle-school years.

Mrs. Luevano always put the interests of her students before her own. She works hard to find music that is both fun to play and challenging, and is super patient towards those whom music did not come as naturally as it does others (me). Her passion for music and teaching come together in a beautiful and rare combination, making learning how to play any instrument fun and engaging.

To anyone even remotely interested in learning how to play an instrument, I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

She is prepared for any age group. I started playing drums in my 50s, and I am amazed how fast I have progressed under her masterful guidance. I'm not even done with my first year of lessons, and I am already playing gigs, and having soooo much fun with the world of percussion. And I've seen (and heard of) her amazing work with children as well, helping them love this world of music that is so important for their development.

Drumming with Sheri is the highlight of every week. Stepping into her studio is like entering a magical wonderland of good music and student snacks lit by the sunshine she exudes.

I have never felt as if I were in a "class" or a "lesson"--Sheri is a thoughtful and patient teacher with clever ways to guide students through tough material, and learning with her has never been anything less than a total blast. She has helped me transform from knowing nothing about music into an awesome drummer, who will be attending drum camp in the summer and joining the school band this fall. I'm so happy to have discovered a passion in drumming, and plan on rocking on for a long time to come.

Sheri is so gifted and enthusiastic, she truly knows how to motivate our two boys, aged 9, who enjoy their weekly class. Sheri has taught them drums for 5 years. She adapts her teaching style and criteria to match our kids' skills and level. Apart from 2 adults drums sets and other instruments (keyboard, drums, etc.) she has a kids size drums set suited to children's shorter arms and legs. I definitely recommend her classes.

Sheri is FABULOUS. She knows how to break down difficult tasks into small, doable pieces, and is so encouraging and positive. Perfect temperament for teaching coupled with expertise. Highly recommend!
