Meeting my students and getting to know them on a more personal level is one of my favorite things. Building trust and rapport is so important in a educational setting. I am so passionate about providing quality services and help to students, so seeing students improve and gain confidence in their learning brings me so much joy.

I like to begin with getting to know my students on a personal level: talking briefly about what subjects they like, how school is going, their hobbies, etc. Understanding students as people is crucial, and something teachers too often forget to do.
It is also important to identify where the students strengths are, and where they might need improvement. Together, we can make a game plan and work towards a shared goal.
Much of my experience has been with English Language Learners and students with learning disabilities. This has shaped my approach to education and teaching. Meeting students in the middle, working on tough subjects, and keeping things equitable are at the top of my list.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I always recommend that students reflect on what they know and what they need more help with. Understanding your own learning is so important! Identifying what you need to learn, but also how you learn best and what you hope to get from a teacher, helps both of us strive.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
She did algebra with my son and biochemistry with my daughter. I supervised their work together. Bailee was patient, used a lot of examples and illustrations, and connected what they were studying to the "real world". I highly recommend her in all subjects. She is very intelligent and knows how to work with all ages
Bailee was up-front about her experience with the sciences that I needed help with: evolution, genetics, and biology. She explained that studying anthropology at UT gave her a lot of classes about these subjects. I did not expect that when I thought of anthropology. She was very smart and helpful. She gave me facts when I need them and helped me with graphs and drawings. I liked her.
I had a biology paper to write and no idea where to start. In just a short amount of time, she helped me plan it out and gave me ideas on how to make it an A. Her pricing was fair.
Bailee helped me so much and explained everything. I would not have been able to finish my work without her. She is an awesome teacher!
