About Maxwell
As a High School English teacher my goal is to help all students succeed and understand all aspects of their English Courses.
I can help students overcome fears and misunderstandings to add clear directions in what they are reading and how they are writing.
My philosophy is that English should be understood in a way that makes writing and reading easy and fun... well, at least easier.
I have a Bachelors in Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I have my California Teaching Credential in Single Subject Teaching - English and have been teaching at the high school level for 5 years.

My process of helping students is to gather information on what they are learning in the classroom. For example, the type of essay they are writing, what readings they are doing, etc.
I will also get to know the student and what fields they might struggle in or what they might not understand yet. I will use this information to better their experience.
GATE, English Language Learners, variety of reading levels, K-12, College Prep, General levels.
