About Courtney

Longtime teacher, lifelong reader, wannabe writer, and notorious word nerd...at your service!

I’ve been teaching English at both the high school and college levels since 1999. I have a Master’s degree in English as well as a teaching license, and helping students like you achieve their goals is one of my favorite things to do. In fact, my most recent tutoring client (who worked with me for all four years of high school!) earned 5s on both of his AP English exams, got a perfect score on his verbal SAT, and is now an undergraduate at Northwestern!

Of course, I'm not just a teacher and a tutor I’m a wife and a mother, a cook and a writer, an audiobook addict and a not-so-secret fan of crime TV. I have one husband, three kids, one dog, and a million ideas.

Whether you're struggling through 7th grade English or feeling befuddled by a college literature course, I can help. Let me loan you some of my intellectual energy and know-how to jump start your own academic adventures!

I have a master's degree in English and an Indiana teaching license (grades 5-12).
