About Courtney
I am a young professional with a passion for teaching English Language Arts! I graduated with a degree in elementary education with a minor in English from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point and currently work as a 7th grade ELA educator at a middle school in Sarasota, Florida. I thoroughly enjoy helping students perfect their text-based writing skills, as well as increasing reading comprehension with focus on increasing vocabulary acquisition and implementing close reading skills. This knowledge helps student prepare for success on state standards assessments such as FSA. In addition to increasing students success in reading and writing, my biggest joy is connecting with students and building relationships as a way to motivate their learning and love for it!
