About Natalie
Hello!
My name is Natalie and I am an aspiring theatre arts and literature teacher. I was a student myself, just recently, and I just can't wait to share what I have learned throughout my years of studying with you! I am here to help grow in the craft of the performing arts as well as help you build analytical skills in drama and literature. I can even help you with Shakespeare or playwriting! I have worked with ages 3-17, so I am patient and willing to work with you until you feel confident enough in your own abilities and skills.
What I look forward to is helping students discover through these art forms. Through arts like acting, reading, and writing, we learn to express ourselves and learn about the world around us. This is why I feel the performing arts are so important, it is not simply a fun way of expression, but a fun way to learn about literature, history, and the power of creativity.
I have worked in a daycare for the past 3 years, which has taught me a lot about patience, understanding and sensitivity. I also worked with the youth group at my church by running our drama team. Lastly, I have studied theatre and literature at Mountain View College and The University of Texas at Arlington for the past 5 years, all the while participating in various performances and workshops, on and off stage.

I like to get to know a little bit about the students and what exactly they want to get out of a class. The point is to help the student hone the skill they want to grow in. Even if it seems impossible, we will take it step by step and make sure the student get's something they can take away and utilize even after the class.
