About Kellie
I have a passion for helping children acquire the understanding- and confidence- they need in order to attain their goals. I use what I know about the student in order to motivate their ownership of both their learning and growth. I have a degree in elementary education from the University of IL. I taught Kindergarten for two years and third grade for three years in CA 2002-2007; I have been an aide at Northminster Learning Center as well as an aftercare teacher there for the past four years, and a 1:1 aide at Banner Elementary school for the past two years. I want to use my education and experience to help students become critically thinking, lifelong learners.
I enjoy directing children to discovering their independence and capabilities.

I would first speak with those referring the child, in order to understand their desired goals for the child. I would also inquire about the best way to get to know the child and the child's best mode of learning. I would develop a routine and make sure the child understood his/her goals, and we would work together to reach them!
