About Ian
I am a recent university grad who understands the stressors of balancing the personal experience that is college, as well as the studies.
I work in childcare and enjoy having the challenges of helping young learners grow!
Both my parents were teachers and I have two younger siblings whom I have always enjoyed fostering their growth.
I have worked in childcare for most of my life, including the past two years at a preschool in Eugene, OR. I have also tutored on a small scale in high school through some school clubs.

I typically start working with a new student by engaging with them in their strengths and passions, things that they enjoy talking and thinking about. From there, I seek to explore pathways that an integrate some of their enthusiasm for these into education.
I have worked with children from ages 2-5 all the way up through high school.
I would encourage persons seeking a tutor in writing to look for someone whom they enjoy speaking with and feel like they are easily understood.
Recently I had the pleasure of seeing a friend of mine's white coat ceremony, which is a ceremony that takes place when one is beginning medical school.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should try to think through certain obstacles that are not related to the actual subject matter, like their activities outside of school that may be detracting from time spent studying.
