About Miracle
I have been in childcare since I was a child myself. From summer camp counselor, after-school program staff, and a tutor of 2 different elementary schools, teaching has always been a part of me. After High School, I studied Early Childhood Education because I knew teaching is what I wanted to do. I love kids and I love seeing the smile on their faces when they finally understand something and they are proud of themselves. That is what brings me the most joy.
I began teaching when I was a child myself. In the summer of 2004, when I was 13 years old I was a camp counselor for the YMCA summer camp. A few years later I worked for Girls inc. An after-school program for young girls where I helped with homework and other activities. From there I tutored 4th graders at the local Elementary school when I was a freshman in High School. I was also a tutor for 5th graders at another Elementary school and have gone for jobs teaching preschoolers at my local daycare.
I studied Early Childhood Education and child development after High School.

I understand that a new student meeting with a new tutor can be overwhelming, so I think it is very important to get to know a little bit about each other first. After the ice has been broken I would go over the things that my student is struggling with so I know how to help. Having a lot of patients is also key whether the student is new or old. Lots of praise and encouragement can keep the student focused and engaged.
Being that I have worked at summer camps that take all ages, after-school programs for girls ages 5-18, Elementary schools, and a preschool I could say I have worked with children ranging from ages 3-14 years old. Most of my students however have been Elementary school-age children.
