About Emily
I am currently a college student double majoring in history and secondary education at The College of New Jersey. I currently work for a nanny company as well as for a tutoring company. I have been on the Dean's List for each semester of my college career. In high school I was a member of National Honor Society and Italian Honor Society. I was also an ambassador for the National Society of High School Scholars. Additionally, I attended a Law and Leadership program at Georgetown University. Combining both my love of academics and my passion for teaching has made tutoring an incredibly rewarding experience.

When working with a new student, the first session I try to let them take the lead so that I can determine where they need the most help. I want us to cultivate a personal relationship so there is a level of comfort and students are eager to participate in tutoring sessions. Getting to know one another is very helpful for future sessions.
I have worked with students as young as five years old and as old as seventeen. I tailor my lessons and assistance to the individual so that they benefit the most from our sessions. I also have worked with students with various learning disability labels and mental health labels.
