About Emily
I am in my 3rd year teaching and have a teaching license in 3 states. I currently teach middle school special education, but I also have experience in 5th grade GenEd and PreK-5th grade special education
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. My grandmother was a 1st grade teacher for 30 years and I looked up to her. I used to play school with my younger siblings and make them worksheets to do over the summer. My first student was my younger brother who I taught to read.
When I was in 7th grade, I volunteered in a preschool classroom. I was also able to volunteer when I was in 11th and 12th grade in a 1st grade classroom, mainly helping during reading and writing.
