About Laura
I enjoy using my years of experience to help my students succeed. I use an individualized phonics instruction program to identify weak areas and assist students in reaching grade-level reading fluency within a few months.
I have been teaching and tutoring for almost two decades, both in the U.S. and abroad. I hold an M.A. degree and a B.A. from a Top 50 university(U.S. News & World Report).
I enjoy using my individualized phonics program to help students succeed as quickly as possible. By targeting student weaknesses, I am able to assist students in reaching grade-level competency ASAP.
I followed in my mother's footsteps and began teaching as soon as I completed my undergraduate degree.
I hold B.A./M.A. degrees, a TESOL, and graduate studies in education. I have worked in the field of education for almost two decades.

I typically give students a TPI(Total Phonics Inventory) assessment to determine the student's individualized phonics weaknesses. We then target the student's deficient areas in order to reach grade-level reading competency as quickly as possible.
I've taught students of all ages, K-12. I've also worked with learning disordered students, ADD/ADHD in particular. In addition, I worked overseas teaching ESL students for many years.
