Special needs
Do not let them overcharge you. I see a lot of that going on. A teacher/tutor that is passionate about what they do, will make themselves available to all. Also, ask them questions about the subject that you know the answers to. This assures you that the tutor knows the subject.
I tutored a college student for several months. I helped this student in different subjects and throughout multiple semesters. The student told me right away that special needs were involved. I was delighted that I was chosen to be this students tutor. When graduation came, I received an invitation to the ceremony. I could not believe that the student and I were attending the same school!! I was honored to watch this student graduate and knowing I helped with that achievement made my heart swell!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
