About Jasmine
I love seeing students learn and finally understand how to write, revise, and feel confident with their own words! I have 8 years of tutoring experience for junior high through college ages. I've taught college level writing courses and study skills classes.
My goal is to work myself out of a job by enabling students to be confident in their own work!
I've always loved seeing other people understand difficult concepts! I began tutoring as a high schooler (working with elementary aged kids). I continued tutoring part-time throughout college, and it became my full-time profession as a graduate student until today!
In addition to my experience, I have worked through the process of becoming a College Reading and Learning Association certified tutor as well as numerous workshops on different tutoring methodologies and working with students with learning disabilities.

I like to do a 30-minute consultation with students before the first session. This is for the student to get to know me and for me to get to know them. I also like to see a sample of their written work or current abilities to develop a plan for our first session and hit the ground running.
I have worked with a wide variety of students of ages and levels--most recently, I have worked with many college students with learning disabilities.

Part of my prices are based on travel expenses, so expenses vary. I also aim to work with families to make educational goals a reality--even when budgets are tight.
My consultation meeting is always a flat $25, and I determine further fees based on the amount of tutoring needed and travel costs.
