About Julia
My name is Julia and I have a bachelors in elementary education and a Masters in Reading Education from Methodist university. I have a passion for working with students 1 on 1 to help them reach the goals they have set. I have been in the field of education for 17 years and I have been a licensed teacher for 9 years.
I love helping students reach their fullest potential! I work with you as the parent to create a plan that will support the needs of your child. No two plans are the same!
I found my passion for teaching when I was a junior in high school. I found myself being mentored by many teachers who encouraged me to work with children full time.
I have been in the field of education for 17 years. I am a licensed k-6 teacher and a licensed reading specialist k-12. I have a Masters degree in Reading education and an advanced TESOL certificate.

We will have an introductory consultation to get to know the student and create a learning plan with the parents. A time line will be created and specific benchmarks set.
I have worked with a wide variety of children. From children with learning disabilities, those who are just learning English and the academically gifted.
Find the person who you feel you can trust and feel comfort with. A large part of learning is making mistakes. If you don't feel comfortable making mistakes with a teacher, you will not be able to learn to the best of your ability.
I currently teach children in China English. It is one of my favorite activities to do!

My name is Anna Peterson. Mrs Pabst was my youngest daughter’s (Emma’s) third grade teacher this year. I had the pleasure of meeting Julia and sitting in her class a few times through out the school year. She is a driven, organized teacher who develops inspiring relationships with her students. She continued to demonstrate this through helping Emma this year. Emma has always struggled with school and if it wasn’t for a teacher like Mrs Pabst who is so invested in her students, I don’t think Emma would have come so far and excelled so much. Julia has a wonderful way of teaching and getting to know each and every student that she has.
