About Amber
I am a college educated tutor with over 10 years experience working with children and tutoring in a variety of subject matter. I graduated from the University of Montana with a B.A. in Journalism and practiced in Montana, New York and California. I began tutoring, as a side job in college to help pay for my education and fell in love with it. I enjoy helping my students to grow in their vocabulary, thier writing and grammatical skills and reading comprehension skills. I also enjoy finding fun ways to introduce new or challenging concepts and skills to help with the retention of the lesson or topic.
My favorite aspect of tutoring is the "ah-ha" moment that happens when children master a skill. I love being able to help my students grow and find great reward in tutoring. I also value the relationships I build with my students and their parents.
