About Arianne
I was an elementary school teacher for 9 years, so I'm excellent at supporting students who are learning to decode and comprehend books. I also speak French fluently, so I can either support your student with French or use my knowledge of attaining a second language to support other language learners.
I started teaching right after college. I taught 5th grade, then 2nd grade and then Kindergarten. I loved each grade level for different reasons, and was excited to work with a range of ages and abilities.
I was an elementary school teacher for 9 years. I taught Kindergarten, 2nd and 5th grade, so my experience spans elementary schools. I am an expert in child development, and I use my knowledge of what's age appropriate to guide my work with students.

I think building a strong relationship with a student is key to supporting that student in acquiring new skills. I work hard to try and get to know what motivates students and what they are passionate about.
I have worked with general ed students, ELL students and special ed students.
Personality compatibility is just as important as having a wealth of knowledge.
I have a 2 year old daughter and she is just starting to develop a stronger interest in books. The other night before bed she "read" me a book for the first time. She even licked her finger to turn the page :)
