About Merryn
Over 30 years experience, specializing in raising academic achievement for diverse students in English and Math, grades K-12 and Newcomer Adults who need to learn to read and do math in English. We will work together to gain skills, learn important concepts needed to make honest progress, and have a little fun along the way! My students improve their grades at school and earn better scores on tests. It is a lot of fun to learn when you are successful. First, we have a discussion of what the goals are for the tutoring sessions. I work with both children and adults. Next, we start out with a simple and accurate assessment, so that we understand the honest, current level of achievement of the student. Third, I design a learning plan for the student and we meet on a regular basis to complete the plan. Then we have fun working towards and achieving your goals!
