Writing/Proofreading/Grammar - I have taught writing, including grammar and mechanics skills and proofreading, to students at the middle school and high school level online for five years. First, I assess the level of the student in various sub-areas. Then, together with the student or student's parents, I create a set of goals to work towards. Next, I conduct session containing instructions, examples, practice exercises, questions and answers, and more. I also assign tasks and activities for students to work on between sessions. At the end of each session, I review what has been learned, what the student did particularly well with, and what they should keep diligently working on.
I have worked with students of all ages, from young children all the way to adults, from more than 15 different countries. I have worked with students of various reading and writing abilities. I have worked with student who do not speak a single word of English to students who speak nearly fluently and want to expand their skills.
