About Emily
Hi! My name is Emily and I am a high school English and Special Education teacher. I graduated Cum Ladue with a degree in Economics. Throughout college, I babysat and tutored for the same family for three years. As a tutor, my priority is to instill organization and self-management systems within students so that they can become efficient and capable learners.
I love working with students and empowering them to become better learners. I enjoy organizing and helping others learn to do the same.
I am a Special Education and English teacher working towards my Master's degree in Special Education. I have a Bachelor's degree in Economics and have over four years of tutoring experience in various settings.

When I first meet a new student, I like to get to know them and understand their work style. My goal is to help students become self-sufficient learners. That means that I need to know the student on a one-on-one level to figure out how to best reach them.
I also like getting to know the student's workload, goals, and current performance. That way, we can work towards a grade, score, or concept that a student is looking to meet.
I have tutored middle school studentsand currently teach high school students. During college, I tutored men who were working towards their GEDs while incarcerated.
