About Emma
I discovered my passion for tutoring when I worked as a writing tutor at Wagner College for three years during my time as an undergraduate. Now, I continue this passion working with my students outside of school. I love meeting new students, getting to know them, and supporting them to reach their learning and writing goals.
I am passionate about helping my students gain a stronger and more thorough understanding of how to leverage the English language. The most rewarding part for me is watching my students' writing become stronger overtime and watch old mistakes drift away.
I worked as a Writing Intensive Tutor for three years in college, working with undergraduate, graduate, and ESL students alike. I took a semester-long course and interviewed to qualify for this position. I also have an Arts Adminstration BA, and an English minor from Wagner College.

I first like to get to know a bit about them - what classes they're in, what their learning goals and styles are, and what specific project we are going to work on together. Then, I like to dive right in, wherever they are in the writing process.
College students, starting at age 18 and going up through their mid-forties.
Meet with a writing tutor as soon as you get the assignment! It is so much easier to write when you have a clear idea of where your writing is going to go, and starting with a strong foundation makes the piece that much stronger.
