About Lisa
I am a retired English teacher and former journalist. I love the English language and the written word. I am experienced in all genres of writing, including research. I have expert knowledge of grammar and writing mechanics. I have taught every grade from 2nd through 12th grade and have worked with college level students. I am extremely interested in working with students in improving reading skills, fluency and comprehension. I also can help students develop higher order thinking skills that are necessary to fully comprehend literary texts. I am open to working with students in elementary reading/language skills and middle and high school students in English, grammar, literature, and writing.
