About Megan
As a college student majoring in Literature and minoring in Secondary Education and Creative Writing, I am on the cusp of becoming a teacher myself but am not so far from the public school classroom that I have forgotten its particular struggles. I am a writing center tutor at Catawba College, in Salisbury, NC, and have been since 2018, so my skill set extends from college-aged individuals (or those college-ready) to those just learning the wonder of words.
I am an avid reader and writer, and I have found great, great joy in hearing and telling stories. What I enjoy most is sharing that joy with other individuals.

Before meeting the student, I would like to know their age, grade level, and what they need assistance with. The meeting will be done in a public spot, such as a coffee shop or library, and the first few minutes will be getting to know the student as an individual. From that, I will do what I can to optomize time in the tutoring session.
