About Dr William E
I am a tenured professor at a top 50 liberal arts institution I have been teaching persuasive writing, public and presentational speaking, and rhetorical analysis for 13 years at the college level. I enjoy assisting students make their ideas come alive on the page or as a speech. I can steer students towards appropriate research and scholarly resources to assist in their writing and speaking endeavors.
I am very patient with students as we work on their educational needs. I enjoy helping students connect their passions to their writing and speaking, as effective communication skills are important no matter what field of study they are in.
I have a PhD in rhetorical studies from the University of Georgia (a top-tier program for communication studies), as well as over a decade of teaching experience at the college level.

I begin by figuring out the student's capabilities and needs. It is important to work on buiding on their strengths as we address their areas for growth. I am more than happy to help students address very specific needs on a particular project as well (sharpening a college entrance essay, or providing assistance with research for a capstone presentation, etc.)
