About Alina
As a college student I know the pressures of writing an essay; to get started, how to get started, and how overwhelming it can be. My goal is to eliminate some of the stress that students face when approaching these challenging works of writing and above all, help them enjoy and be proud of their final work.
I enjoy the look on his students face when they finally understand that they could do it all along. My job as a teacher is not to do the work for them but rather help them find the tools themselves, seeing the lightbulb go off in a student is so rewarding.
I got started teaching from a young age when my mom would travel a lot and I was left to help take care of my younger brothers who both often struggled with school.
I am currently a sophomore in college but with my credits I stand as a junior meaning I have completed a variety of classes in writing, journalism, etc.

I like to start by getting to know the student first. I find that understanding somebody helps understand the way they work academically.
I have worked with students of all ages but for the most part my experience has been with younger kids up until elementary school. However I am eager to help high school students with their college essays.

She helped me not only with my particular assignment but actually helped give me the tools to get a better understanding of the entire subject.
Alina was very creative, but she was also able to guide me into tapping into my creativity. I love that she was thoughtful in her instruction, and seemed to know how to draw out the best in me, I'm sure teaching everyone is different, but I feel like anyone would benefit from Alina's guidance!!!
I thought that working with Alina was really nice! She helped me fully grasped almost every concept we talked about in a clear and concise manner. She was also super calm when discussing unfamiliar topics which gave me a reassuring feeling that these topics were not beyond my understanding. Overall I felt she is a great tutor, very patient and very clear at understanding things.
