I was in all Honors English and Writing classes from 8th-12th grade, finished my Senior English class and English project one year early, and graduated with Honors. I enjoy writing and reading other's work. I specialize in helping with language studies, such as defining words, using correct parts of speech, and correct grammar. I'd love to help you proofread, brainstorm, and start writing today!
I also offer History lessons! I excelled in Honors US History with an A+ letter grade, and I am a total 80's & 90's nerd! I made sure to keep all of my high school notes from History class and can help your child understand the events that shaped our country in a simple way!
I enjoy helping others understand correct use of language and grammar, and helping them to express themselves through writing!
With History, I really enjoy looking back on events that happened before modern day to see how much time has changed. I enjoy comparing the differences and studying them to learn to appreciate the past. History is an important part of humanity and this country's modern state, and I like to make sure I'll never forget the important events that shaped us to be who we are. I also have a fascination about the past 60 years of history from this country from Civil Rights, to the Beatles, to the Man on the Moon, to Watergate, to the 80's, 90's, and so on. Past and pop-culture just interest me!
I have always had a passion for English/Language Arts. Starting in 7th grade, I took French classes for 3 years and then continued on to Advanced Language Arts classes from 8th-12th grade. I studied top SAT words, did Cornell notes, weekly spelling and vocabulary tests and more in middle school and kept 100s and straight A's the entire time. I then continued in advanced Language Arts classes into high school, taking classes one year ahead of my grade, and continued taking French. With reading old English and other books, I always did pretty well explaining the language or meaning of texts/trying to find the message of works. I graduated high school in the top of my class with Honors, and I completed my Senior year English class one year early, along with my Senior Capstone project, that consisted of essays, testimonials, mentorship, and source finding all in a big Portfolio to show my teacher's my career choice and how I'd get myself to it. I feel I can help others in this field because I have been exposed to it for many years and excelled, and I'd love to help you excell in reading and writing!
