About Jennifer
I am a certified teacher in K-6 elementary (all subjects), middle school Language Arts, and special education. I have over four years of teaching experience- general education, special education, and honors students in grades 5-8.
I have been tutoring for seven years and have worked with students in grades 4-12 of varying ability levels.
I am available for help with study skills, organizational skills, test prep, and time management for elementary through high school students.
For elementary and middle school students, I specialize in reading skills pertaining to decoding and comprehension, all areas of writing, grammar, and vocabulary. I also have extensive experience teaching literary analysis.
I can help high school students with all aspects of essays, including idea generation, organization, drafting, revising, and editing.
I love literature and writing, and I enjoy sharing that passion with students and watching them progress from challenge to success
Teaching was a calling for me and I knew I wanted to teach from a very young age.
I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education with an endorsement to teach special education. I have over four years of classroom teaching experience and over seven years of in-home tutoring experience.
