Having trouble with writer's block? Want to write something that will leave an impact for your readers to remember? Trying to strengthen your vocabulary for creative or professional reasons? Whether you need help with getting those creative juices flowing, getting your ideas to run smoothly on paper, or need sharpening on more technical skills such as grammar or conducting a good email, I'm the right tutor for you.
A lifetime writer myself, I have spent years writing academic essays as a college student as well as on my own time, as well as proofread thousands of essays, emails, statements, and other documents for friends, classmates, family, and myself. I know what it's like to struggle as a writer, and I know how to overcome it--I went from feeling discouraged and frustrated in my Language Arts classes to making grades no lower than an A in these courses, as well as scoring in the 99th percentile in the English section of the ACT. I have also impressed middle school teachers and college professors (many of them accomplished writers) with my work.

I like to meet the student where they are. This is done by examining and reviewing their past essays and current drafts. Reviewing their current way of writing not only helps me to create a tutoring session specifically made to fit their needs, but it also helps me to give feedback so that they become strong writers while retaining (if not enhancing) their unique and individual literary voice.
I have experience working with middle school students, as well as students in high school and college.
Look for someone who not only knows the technicalities of writing (grammar, spelling, etc), but someone who also knows how to help you make your writing engaging and impactful while giving you some space to develop your own writing style; you want for your writing to sound and look good, and you also want your writing to be a reflection of yourself and your experiences.
