About Greg
Greg Boyd is a renowned golf instructor and the owner of Houston Golf Lesson, a company that provides professional golf lessons to individuals and groups. Boyd has over 20 years of experience in the golf industry and has helped countless players of all skill levels improve their game. He is known for his ability to provide personalized lessons and develop customized training plans to help golfers reach their full potential. I teach the five modern fundamentals of golf. I have been a pro since 1987. I have traveled and played extensively throughout the United States. I have been teaching since 1987. Most recently I was the instructor in the Houston area for America's favorite Golf Schools. I teach at Brown's Golf World in Humble and a facility in Houston. Thanks in advance and I look forward to helping you with all aspects of your golf game.
I enjoy helping people. I’m very good at what I do. I get satisfaction when my students make progress.
After college I worked as an assistant pro at an area golf club and one of my responsibilities was to give members lessons. I've been teaching ever since.
I still play in professional tournaments from time to time. I have learned a lot about the swing from Jackson Bradley who was a personal friend of Ben Hiogan and Kevin Kirk who was recently given the honor of best golf instructor in the United States by the PGA of America. I was a student of Kevin's for about 25 years so I learned a lot about the mechanics of the swing from him.

Typically I check the students grip and grip pressure first. Then posture, ball position and stance. Then backswing and downswing. In a nutshell the 5 modern fundamentals of golf.
I have worked with beginners, advanced, juniors, seniors, women, children and people with minor physical ailments.
Try to find a teacher that won't make dramatic changes in your swing. Find someone who focuses on the fundamentals and not advanced biomechanic techniques.
About three months ago I taught a man named Craig. He was way off his normal game and with a change of alignment and slight swing path change he got his game back and more. He has since sent me many students as a sign of gratitude for helping him when no one else could.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are their goals? What's their biggest weakness? What's their biggest strength? Are you trying to break a barrier like breaking 100 or 90? Do you have the time to commit to a long term training regimen?

Greg Boyd is a down-to-earth, very patient instructor. He’s worked with me three times, including one couples session with me and my girlfriend. Greg’s sharp eye detected me changing the height of my head in relation to the ground during the backswing.
I’m now due for another session with Greg, as I’ve encountered some new issues that have come to light over the past week or so. I’m confident he can help me overcome them. So I highly recommend Greg! 🏌️Noticeable improvement after the first lesson. Greg provides constructive feedback and adjustments tailored to my individual performance needs.
Great for teaching accurate swing positions fo beginners, and understand the mechanics of this sports! Strongly recommended!
I needed help to get started with my golf swing. I was amazed how I was hitting at the end of the session and also when I was actually playing.
Great guy, patient and very knowledgeable. Learned a lot during our lesson..
Thankx.Great lesson and planning to do another one! I noticed instantaneous improvement just by tweaking some fundamentals - Greg is a great teacher!
Greg is an excellent and experienced coach, he is motivating and does not give up on his students.
I just started playing a few weeks ago and I started with my first lesson with Greg. From Day 1 my game up picked up thanks to his excellent and easy to grasp introductory tips. I could really feel that I could do well in the game. He pays attention to each stroke you play and highlights what you did right, wrong or could do better. I feel a little more comfortable and consistent after each lesson. I still have a long way to go but after a month of practice and 4 lessons, I am pretty close to being ready to play at the course, the right way.
He’d make you work everything the right way. Upper body, lower body, arm and wrist, everything as it should move. No shortcuts for artificially better results. He wants his students to do well, and do it the right way!
Would highly recommend to any one looking to improve their game, especially if you’re a beginner or want to work on your basics.Greg figured out what was wrong with my swing right away!
He got some instant results as far as straightening out my ball flight with my irons.
Focus on technique. Specifically,swing motion.
