About Chris
I have been playing guitar for 35 years. I enjoy music and love to play. In school I was envolved with jazz and some classical ensembles. In college and the mid 1990’s I played with a group around the Pittsburgh area. I studied music education for a time in college and am well versed in music theory. I believe in teaching musicians to not only read music but to also be able to learn by ear and improvise.
Playing and teaching music allows a deep and meaningful connection between people. It is an incredible way to express ones self through art and creativity. A wonderful outlet for emotion and expression. It provides disapline and structure and gives people purpose and direction in their life.
Started teaching in college to other students. Continued for a time locally.
Studied music education at Mansfield University, PA. Played with several musical groups, rock and jazz. Performed in musical productions such as Annie and Grease. I have also done session work in the Pittsburgh area.

In 2016 my band completed a professional recording of songs it had written and performed in the mid 1990’s. The music can be found through links at (concealed information) also on YouTube and iTunes.
