About Gary
My name is Gary Jack, and I am the music teacher at Gretna Elementary School in Gretna, VA. In light of the COVID 19 pandemic, I've decided to start offering guitar and saxophone lessons online through googlemeet.
Despite social distancing and school closings, it is essential that every child has access to music education through whatever means possible. I am happy to work with people of all ages:)
I have been playing the saxophone since I was in 5th grade and picked up the acoustic guitar in high school. I hold a bachelors and masters degree in music from Longwood University.
Music is my passion, and I hope to instill that love in every person I teach. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in learning saxophone or acoustic guitar.
The price is $15 for 1/2 hr session and $30 for 1 hr.

There is nothing more satisfying than to see a child enjoy music!
I hold a Bachelors in Music Education and a Masters in Science with a Concentration in Music Curriculum and Instruction from Longwood University.
I served as a Contemporary Worship and Childrens Music Music Director at my church for two and a half years.
I have been an elementary music public school teacher for the past fifteen years and have worked with children on guitar and saxophone.

I like to get to know my students first, so when I meet someone new I will take some time to find out more about them and what they hope to achieve.
We will work at a pace that is comfortable for them. I don't put pressure on my students to practice, but I do highly encourage them to work on the things we do in our sessions. The activities we do will be kept in a log, so I can monitor their progress:)
