About Mike
All lessons are private, one on one and designed around the students musical tastes. I never pressure my students, you will learn at a pace comfortable for you.
I learned guitar teaching from my first guitar teacher who took me under her wing and let me use her studio. I never stopped learning to improve my own playing and also to improve my teaching.

We first evaluate the persons guitar playing ability and start from there. If the person is a beginner, we start with the very basics, scales, hand positions, how to hold the guitar and a few chords. For experienced students who know the basics and some chords, I teach fingerpicking, alternate chord shapes and timing.
I have always had a diverse group of students, beginners through experienced players. My current student list is like that and they range in age from 11-64.
