My granddaughter began taking guitar lessons from Lucas two years ago. Lucas is an amazing instructor. Whether kids or adults, he connects with his students. He is able to quickly zero in on what works for them and he willingly adjusts his approach to not only ensure that they learn but that they have fun in the process. While he teaches all the basics, he also teaches complicated techniques. He gives clear instruction. He is generous with his time and gladly goes the extra mile if the student needs extra help. He knows what he is doing and he knows how to teach. My granddaughter has made amazing progress in two years. In that time, she has gone from someone who knew nothing about playing a guitar to a pretty amazing guitar player who does a very respectable job playing AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Metalica, Joan Jett, Alice Cooper, and Nirvana, to name a few. I should mention that my granddaughter started lessons with Lucas when she was seven and is now nine years old.
Lucas bonds with his students in ways that few instructors do. He listens to them and manages to balance staying on track with lessons while incorporating particular songs or techniques that appeal to the student.
My granddaughter looks forward to every lesson and never wants to leave when the lesson is over. Lucas is extremely talented in his own right. Lucas is an amazing teacher! I have really learned a lot especially about technique. He really caters to your level and works with you to get you to that next level. Definitely would recommend him for anyone who wants to learn to play the guitar!
