About Troy
I'm fun, personal, know my way around the guitar, and have a vast knowledge of music. I make the guitar playing experience approachable and suited for the beginner student.
I play guitar every single day. If I don't, there's a tendency to plateau, in any field, for that matter.
I've been playing for 12 years. I've recorded music and was in a few rockin' bands in NYC.
I'm based in LA, and when I'm not playing guitar, I act in TV shows and films.
I love to the witness the excitement on a student's face when they can walk away playing a couple of chords, or noted riffs in any of their favorite songs!
Once you get hooked after knowing you can finger your way around the fret board, you will be hooked!
I love writing songs, and learning others, and teaching students. I especially love watching them grow and giving them the support they need to continue.
Happened naturally by having people coming over and wanting to learn after seeing so many guitars hanging on my walls.
I've have 15 years of guitar experience. I've played in rock bands. I write and record music.

I ask them about their guitar playing history. What are their goals? I teach them their favorite riffs, then talk about theory and chords, just to keep it interesting, while maintaining a balanced approach to guitar palying.
