Ryan has been an amazing teacher for almost 5 years running now. Started lessons with him in middle school and I’m starting my senior year. He takes a beginner’s desire and passion and turns it into chords and solos. Great at teaching theory while still having fun. Within no time Ryan will have you jamming to your favorite songs and writing music you never thought you would be capable of before taking lessons.

I’ve been going to Ryan for about 8 months now. And let me just say I would be no where near where I am today if it wasn’t for taking lessons with him. I had been playing a little before but wasn’t getting anywhere. Ryan will give you good structure lessons to make sure you’re playing with good form, and he will also teach you any song you want. Great teach and great guy. If you’re going to take lessons. Go to him, he’ll get you playing in no time.

Ryan is a great teacher. I've been seeing him for almost 10 years and we cover a lot of theory and techniques. He is really patient with you and he makes sure you understand the material before moving to the next step in your development and I think that's key!

Ryan's lessons are fantastic! I started out self-taught but my development really took off when I began lessons with Ryan. He not only taught me technique and repertoire but also gave me in-depth lessons in music theory and improvisation. He also helped me expand my musical horizons and find my own creative voice on guitar. I have since graduated from RIC's jazz program and gotten accepted into Berklee, but wouldn't have gotten there without Ryan's lessons throughout high shool.

I started taking Bass lessons with Ryan in the Fall of 2014. Before that time, I had spent the better part of 9 months trying to teach myself to play through various books and online content. I can honestly say that I learned more from Ryan in one month than I did trying to self teach. During our first lesson, we talked about the type of music that I listened and where I wanted to go with my playing, and he based my lessons off of what we discussed. Ryan's extensive knowledge of music theory is unbelievable and I will always recommend him to anyone regardless of their age or musical taste. He now teaches both of my kids as well, and I'm amazed at how much they have learned in such a short time.
