About Courtney
As an experienced classroom teacher, I can help any level of student gain an understanding of the social studies without dying of boredom.
I am certified to teach in both California and Colorado but have a strong understanding in most state standards to help make sure I do not waste your time with useless content if your goal is to understand and move on.
Besides content, I have worked with students in the past five years in gaining essential test-taking skills that will allow you to get that vital degree or certification.

I like to first start getting to understand my student, and set a rapport with them. I would get to learn the student's goals and dreams they have with working with this program, from there I can better understand the timeframe we are working with and what is expected by the end of our time together. The better we understand eachother the easier the learning gets!
From there I would assess the student's content knowledge and where they stand with the subject that we are working with. Once this part is over, we can get to learning!
I assess learning daily with small skills and assess on a larger scale depending on the timeframe the student is working with.
