About Tegan
I am currently a student who has experience in AP, Dual Credit, SAT, and basic undergraduate core classes. I understand the struggles of committing to these rigorous academic experiences and am happy to amplify your knowledge.
I enjoy engaging with students and finding new ways to accommodate learning styles. Education is an important foundation for all individuals, so being able to assist students on their academic journey is important to me.
I have two younger siblings; one is in 7th grade and the other is in 10th grade. They are currently being home-schooled, so I help tutor them when they need it. I also assist a family with fun ways to learn basic numbers, letters, sentences, and writing skills with their first-grade son.
I have experience with AP, Dual Credit, SAT, K-12 curriculum, and undergraduate courses.

I like to learn a little bit about the student, understand their academic struggles, and ask them what specific areas they need help with. Afterward, I like to ask them about their schedule to see if we can come up with a consistent schedule that meets both of our needs.
I have worked with students who have been very hands-on and visual learners. I tend to use crafts and additional supplements as ways of teaching.
Ultimately, find someone that provides a comfortable environment and that you feel you can connect with. Furthermore, find a teacher who is flexible and friendly but still keeps you accountable for your learning.
I work as a resident assistant on campus so I put on a lot of educational (but fun) events for residents on my floor. One event I put on includes "VenTea Time." During this program, I offered iced coffee and coffee cakes. Residents were encouraged to discuss their academic stressors and in return, my partner and I offered a multitude of resources to help combat their issues.
